Beginning as early as 1965, the SMWC has rewarded performance and versatility in the Weimaraner by awarding the most accomplished member owned dogs in several areas of competition. Today the SMWC offers Traveling Trophies in the following areas:
In addition, we offer plaques to dogs who have been awarded the highest title in each competitive category (FC, AFC, NFC, NAFC, CT, CH, MACH, OTCH, MH, SDX, RDX, VX+, etc.) during the previous calendar year. We also award Merit Certificates for any achievement attained by members' dogs. In all there were awards given for 1 National Amateur Field Champion, 1 Amateur Field Champion, 1 Bench Champion, 5 Retrieving Dog Excellents, and 1 Master Hunter! Merit Certificates were given for the following titles: 2 Senior Hunters, 1 Junior Hunter, 1 Novice Shooting Dog, 1 Open Fast Agility, 1 Master Agility Jumper, 1 Open Agility, 1 Open Agility Jumper, 1 Agility Excellent, 1 Agility Excellent Jumper, 1 United Companion Dog and 1 Versatile Rating. We also recognized 1 Therapy Dog International Certification, 3 International Champions, 3 National Field Trial Placements, 4 dogs who ranked in the National Top Ten All Age (2) and Derby (2) lists, 1 dog take a UKC Reserve Best in Show, 1 dog take Reserve Best Puppy in Show, 1 NAVHDA UT Prize 3, and 2 Total Dog Awards.
