Each year members of the various clubs affiliated with the Highland Field Trial Grounds Association (HFTGA) and the Ionia Field Trial Grounds Association (IFTGA) volunteer their time to help maintain the grounds on which we enjoy so many events.
While we are allowed to participate in any of the following work bees, the Southern Michigan Weimaraner Club members have selected to head out on November 3rd and 4th to fulfill our duty to the conservation of our lands.

Highland Recreation Area, Barn Field Trial Area, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Join ongoing efforts to restore this area to an open grassland. Volunteers will be hauling and piling brush and stacking fire wood. Meet at the Barn Field Trial Area parking lot on the north side of Cooley Lake Road between Duck Lake and Beaumont Roads.

Join us for the last seed collection day at Highland for the year. We will be collecting wildflower seeds. Meet at the Silo Field Trial Area parking lot on Livingston Road, between Pettibone Lake and Beaumont Roads. Don't forget to turn your clocks back one hour for Daylight Saving Time or you will be an hour early!
Please plan on attending one or both days! There will be a sign up sheet and usually one or two DNR people to coordinate the day. Make sure you bring water and gloves and maybe a snack.
You don’t have to spend the whole day, even part of a day will get us to our magic number of hours!
